Access to LIB 11

We had a situation on Saturday that brought attention to an issue that we had failed to anticipate. LIB 11 had been scheduled for hours outside of regular library hours. John has now spoken with all the appropriate people to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again, but just in case we wanted to make sure everyone is on the same page about what to do if it does.

• Campus Safety is never to let anyone outside of maintenance/cleaning/library staff in to the building outside of regular library hours.

• No exterior door is ever to be left unlocked unless a staff member is present in the building and aware that the door is unlocked.

• No one outside of maintenance/cleaning/library/Campus Safety staff should ever be left unattended in the building after hours. Library staff has a right to clear the building of all others at closing time and should contact Campus Safety if assistance is needed.

• If Campus Safety or anyone else insists that others be left in the building unattended after closing, contact John (or Aimee) immediately.
